I was walking past and to my surprise this cafe was open. <br/ <br/ So I had a latte which was quite good. There was some great milk froth, the coffee had a nicw flavour but for me personally I would have liked a stronger coffee as I thought all their coffees were double shots. That may have changed. <br/ <br/ Other than that this is still a good cafe.<br/ <br/ <br/ Last review June 2017<br/ <br/ I had a piccolo latte here this morning. The service was lovely, really friendly people. <br/ <br/ Nice flavoured coffee, but it was a bit gritty, as I ate ground coffee beans at the end of my coffee. First world problems lol<br/ <br/ Other than that this was a nice little place and the till is clos...

This is a relatively new coffee house and it is always busy when I walk past. Today I took the plunge and the que was about 12 people deep, but seriously it only took about 5 minutes before I walked out with my<br/ coffee, so I definitely can’t complain. The reason it probably moves so fast is that they only do one type of milk……full cream, so if you are lactose sensitive, you will have to opt for a long black. <br/ <br/ I asked for a strong latte and that is what I got, it was very creamy and not bitter. I also had a sip after it had gone cold and it was delicious, I think a revisit for an iced coffee is on the cards and also grab a roll, they looked fresh and tasty.<br/ <br/ KD
I 've been here a few times recently and the coffee has been consistently good (albeit strong, but still enjoyable . It 's been busy each time I have visited and I 've had to wait around 10 minutes for my latte (which I don 't mind, but it 's worth noting if you 're running late for work . Market Lane is a little different in that that you have to add your own take away lid/sugar. Also no skim milk or soy options, only 'organic ' full cream (whatever that means... The cafe is minimalist, they offer EFTPOS with no minimum and the staff are generally friendly.
Incredible coffee (probably the best I've had in Melbourne), with the perfect amount of coffee to milk ratio. I hate it when cafes give me too much milk in my coffee, which is where it loses it's bite. Market Lane does not fail in this department! They could afford to have friendlier staff though -hence the rating-, I don't think it'd hurt to hire genuinely nice hipsters if you insist on having hipsters working behind the machine. Great spot to grab your daily coffee. One of the most popular coffee shops in Melbourne and a must try! Beware only coffee is served. There is no mocha or hot chocolate.
I don’t like the fact that Market Lane only serves dairy milk but overall, the coffee is generally good and pretty consistent and the service is nice, so I rate it.
I love Market Lane and this is probably my favourite of their stores. Beautiful old Victorian building with huge ceilings and architraves.
Coffee was great, very bold yet smooth at the same timeStaff were nice and cheerful, and enjoyed having a chat. Réservez une table maintenant

"I was satisfied with the food. Burgers are between $14.90 and $15.90. The drinks are more expensive than other places, and the free Wi-Fi is slow and stops working intermittently."
