Mark's Off Madison

Located just off Madison Square Park, this sidewalk café surprisingly had a low noise level! While it took some time for our waiter to take our order—likely due to staff shortages affecting many restaurants—the food was visually appealing and delicious overall. The only downside was a salad; the waiter was unsure of the ingredients and went to find out for me. Unfortunately, what I received wasn’t quite what I was told, as it mainly consisted of a large bowl of kale. I recommend sticking with their traditional chopped salads and other options, or indulging in the heartier choices like eggs on potato latkes, bagel with lox and cream cheese, and of course, the fries! The salads are fantastic, but it took an incredibly long time for us to receive our order. The delivery driver waited over 30 minutes for just two salads. While the restaurant itself is quite good, the timing for takeout orders is very unreliable. If you decide to order from them, be sure to add an extra 30 minutes to the estimated delivery time provided by the DoorDash app. If you're in a rush, I wouldn't recommend ordering from Mark's!

I don't write a lot of reviews but when there is a restaurant, so outstanding, so consistent and so absolutely delicious as, Marks is, I'm compelled. EVERYTHING THEY MAKE IS INCREDIBLE! Happy that places like this still exist in the city. An absolute gem! Thank you guys

Yummy!!! Love that they re-opened again. The bread basket might be one of my favorite items on the table. The OG Madison Avenue Salad and the BIG Belgian fries. So happy that they are open. Réservez une table maintenant

Delicious food! We missed the calamari and French fries and pizza so much, delighted to find you again! Service was amazing. Wine and sommeliere were perfect. Great experience.

The chicken soup was tasty, but the portion was quite small for the price. A spoon would have been helpful. The bread served was enjoyable, and the tea was decent.

The challah is exceptional—delicious in every bite. And the doughnuts are so delightful that I could easily eat three a day!
