Looking for spring whites and onion cake we arrived yesterday on the terrace of the Marktschenke in Winningen. The terrace is not separated from the street or the walkway there is no hint please wait here or we will take you to your table etc. The guests come and go independently. Since there was no service, we sit on one of three free tables. After a few minutes the service specialist came to our table and greeted us with mere words Are you new? Don't you know we've been pandemic for 1.5 years? I still have to disinfect the table (what she did in the aftertaste, but not!!!) Can't you wait? We were speechless. Im Rahmen unserer Radtour haben wir hier eine Nacht verbracht. Für den Preis von 38 € pro Person im DZ war das Zimmer definitiv zu teuer (und mit Abstand das Schlechteste was wir hatten). Das Zimmer war ein Kleinstraum, sprich mehr das Format einer (Abstell)Kammer (Doppelbett nur über eine Seite zugänglich) mit einer Möblierung, die annähernd ein halbes Jahrhundert auf dem Puckel hat. Bad war noch gerade OK. Sehr angenehm war das Duschzentrum. Frühstück war gerade noch zufriedenstellend. Zu Abend gegessen haben wir hier nicht, insofern keine Aussage möglich. Gastgeber sind in der Tat etwas mürrisch und nicht die Freundlichsten.

Für ein DZ 84€ zu verlangen Zimmer Nr. 1 in der Größe von ca. 7,50 m² ist unserer Meinung nach extrem zu hoch, als EZ wäre gerade noch gerechtfertigt , zudem auch der Zustand der Möbel abgewohnt war. Das Bad mit Dusche war ok. Auch der Umstand das die Gegend und die umliegenden Restaurants sehr gut warenrechtfertigt das keinesfalls diesen Preis.Gastraum war verraucht.Frühstück war soweit ok.In Detzem hatten wir ein Hotel 58€ DZ, das war TOP und einwandfrei. Das ist das richtige Preisverhältnis.
As part of our bike tour we spent a night here. For the price of 38 € per person in the DZ the room was definitely too expensive (and by far the worst we had). The room was a small room, i.e. more the format of a (storage) chamber (double bed accessible only over one side) with a furnishing that has approximately half a century on the poodle. Bad was still OK. The shower centre was very pleasant. Breakfast was still satisfactory. We haven't eaten in the evening, so no statement is possible. Hosts are indeed a little merciful and not the friendliest.

As part of our bike tour, we stopped here, it was the worst hotel on our tour. For a DZ 84€ to demand room No. 1 in the size of approx. 7,50 m2 is, in our opinion, extremely too high, when EZ was just justified, and the condition of the furniture was also absent. The bathroom with shower was okay. Also the fact that the area and the surrounding restaurants were very good was not justified by this price. Guest room was smoked. Breakfast was fine. In Detzem we had a hotel 58€ DZ, which was TOP and perfect. That's the right price ratio.
We arrived here as a larger group to enjoy the one or other drink before our return trip. The optics in the restaurant can be contested. Either it is completely original and you like the heavy oak optics or you feel back to the pre-war period. Decide. But the friendliness of the hostess remained desirable overall. Absolutely unfriendly and not professional. The wine was not delicious and not recommended. Therefore, no recommendation.
Bad unfriendly services messy internal tent was full of pockets and bottles of booze. Or we could eat something. And I'd like to drink first when I got it, ask them before we read it again if we wanted a drink. I wanted to see what they had to offer first. Again with annoyed face gone. We're never going back there. Yeah, after you left a super restaurant that wasn't familiar with a traveler.
Unfreundlicher Empfang, Zimmer im Stil der 70er Jahre, sehr überschaubares Frühstück, zu dem saure Milch gereicht wurde (worüber die Service-Kraft gerne ausführlich diskutiert hätte), eine seit mindestens drei Wochen nicht aufgeräumte Küche.

Wir können die Schenke jedem empfehlen, der gutbürgerlich es Essen mag, dazu gern einen Schoppen Weisswein trinkt und gern in urigen Gaststätten speist. Portionen sind mehr als reichlich, man wird definitiv satt.
Das Lokal bietet eher althergebrachte deutsche Küche. Wer Traditionelles mag, ist hier richtig. Die Lokalität ist nichts Besonderes. Dennoch gut bzw. zu empfehlen. Viel Spaß!
