The restaurant is on the market and has a welcoming effect. Seats, chairs and tables are arranged loosely in front of the restaurant. Located in the centre of the city, it attracts its guests. Right next to the main square in the old town of Oberursel is the restaurant located. We had reserve a table for 4 and were given a nice table in a corner opposite the bar area. The service was extremely friendly (always with a smile) and efficient. There is not a large choice of food options, but that one's that we had were all fine. There was at least one proper vegetarian option, a spicy chicken as dish of the day as well as the traditional Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad and cranberry sauce. The view of the marketplace and the old part of town is worth sitting outside, but the old timber frame indoors is a close second. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was fantastic. This was one of the few places I visited in Germany where the majority of the staff spoke English, which was a plus. They also had a kids portion of the menu, offering a smaller portion of weiner schnitzel, and other items. Parking was easy after 18:00 nearby. They accepted a credit card, although you have to pay inside. Relaxed and highly recommended!
