Maro's - Réservation de table

I have no clue why people love this place to death. Found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and went to it because the rating says "#1 in Oakville". It's a relatively small and busy place, but they seemed to be short on staff. It's very difficult to call a service, because the servers are nowhere to be found or looked overwhelmed. We ordered 5 dishes on their signature Manu(straight down the top fours plus a half portion signature grilled chicken). The first four dishes arrived within normal time but were tasteless, if the restaurant wasn't rated #1 in Oakville then I wouldn't have a problem about its taste, the food was really just average. What an amazing dinner. I had the Taste of Beirut and it was delicious. Amazing flavour and a huge serving size. I was stuffed but kept eating it was so good. My friend had another Maro's Specialty (can't remember the name but it was beef and potatoes) and she said it was excellent as well. The baba ganoush that we had as a starter (not on the menu) was very tasty! The pitcher of water that they brought reminded me of mojito... I don't think they serve alcohol though.

The food here is wonderful, and in good quantities. My favourite is "Lunch in Beirut". I agree with other reviews here that the service is only so-so and lately they seem to be short-staffed. The wait for food is not overly long though. The ambiance of the restaurant is also so-so - very noisy, poor acoustics, and uncomfortable seating. But the food makes the experience worth it. Try the fried cauliflower!

Amazing restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere, great servers, and delicious food. It was my first day moving into Oakville and when my boyfriend took me here, I couldn't keep my heart from leaping out of my chest (or stomach) with joy! Recommend you check it out.

Service is good, not the best. Ambiance is good, nothing special. But the food here is the real deal. It's healthy. It's a good variety. It's tasty. These guys transform common Middle Eastern food to a whole different level.

My visit has always been amazing. you can see the effort on the presentation of the food. The quality and flavor of the dishes is always great!

Great fresh food. Very big portions. Smallish place so expect to wait but you will not be disappointed ! Have been back several times. Réservez une table maintenant

You must try the Bella and the Beast, the deep fried cauliflower on it is amazing! The Schwarma dinner is good too.

This is one of our favorite places to eat in Oakville. Excellent food quality, very healthy and reasonably priced.
