Our hiking group spent two wonderful nights at this unique hotel. On our last night, we enjoyed a multi-course dinner at this fine restaurant. The dining room is modern and pretty. It is laid out with little nooks and crannies, so you don't really see the other tables much. Felt like we had the place to ourselves. I really could not tell you what we ate, but everything that was put on my plate was delicious. They may have described things, but we were so busy talking amongst ourselves- I believe they mainly tried to be unobtrusive in their serving style. We visited on a weeknight in August and ordered the 14 course degustación menu. We also opted for the wine paring option, an excellent choice with some very interesting wines on offer (and very generous serves). The food was truly exquisite, favourites included the black olives, the carpaccio, and the pork ravioli. The option to taste top quality olive oils from Extremadura and Andalucia was also a nice touch. The serving staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and did their absolute best to make sure the meal was a memorable experience. Highly recommended.
Had a fantastic meal here while staying in the hotel. The 14 course degustation was a real treat and not overbearing you can have the full 21 courses if you dare! . The highlights were the prawns and the white one desert, but everything was delicious. We chose the wine pairing which was ideal and great value. A genuine treat for any foodie and great value overall.
The 21 Ideas tasting menu was a good sampling of tastes from around Spain, particularly the Rioja region. Presentation was outstanding. Service was excellent and very knowledgeable.

We had a wonderful stay at the marques de riscal! We stopped in la rioja on our way from Barcelona to San Sebastián and this hotel was the perfect one night
the building is exclusive, like everything around it, the staff is friendly and professional, the food is perfect, accompanied by a good wine.
