I spent the afternoon walking around Chinatown and decided to grab a bite here. I 'd been meaning to try this place but I always see a line out the door at their Kūhiō location (this location didn 't have a wait and only three other tables were occupied) so if you don 't want to wait and can get around easily, maybe this is the location for you.The menu is pretty straightforward with about ten different noodle dishes. You start at the left and work down the counter. At the first station, you place your order and they 'll prep your noodle and toppings. The next station is self serve where you can grab any tempura toppings/sides. Then, it 's the drink station/cashier.They have two sizes regula...
The line can get pretty long (up to 45 mins but the noodles and tempura are worth the wait!! The noodles themselves are very cheap but the tempura can add up if you get multiple. I had the Kitsune and the Beef udon and I really loved the beef one! The matcha here was also very good and my favorite tempura was the crab!! The lines for this place are usually ridiculously long, which is why we came during an off hour (around 3:30-4pm). Good value and delicious food! Got the nikutama udon, mushrooms, rolled egg, and the calamansi-ade. First time trying calamansi and I quite enjoyed the citrus taste, and of course the sweet beef in the udon was so tasty. Would recommend, but expect a wait.
Every time I'm craving Udon, this is where I go. I've been here a total of 5 times and counting, and their Nikutama udon always hits the spot. Not to mention they have plentiful tempura sides to choose from! Service is quick and the food is always delicious. ?Parking: There are a few cheap parking garages nearby.
