My husband and I stopped here to get food to bring home for a late meal. My husband is rather fussy about chicken but this time he was happy we stopped and would welcome another feast from Mary Brown's again. I got a bucket with a number of side dishes including both fries, salads and gravy. The meat was extremely tasty even after being reheated a few hours later in the oven. We had plenty for the next day and I must say it was NOT greasy at all. In fact, I would say this was the best chicken we have ever gotten from a take out anywhere. We stopped in with our children after shopping to grab a bite to eat. We placed our order and requested it to stay, only to be informed that the restaurant was closing in 15 minutes. Despite this, we decided to stay and eat our meal. Throughout our time there, the young girl working the cash register continuously gave us unfriendly looks, making us feel uneasy. Every customer who came in was also informed of the imminent closing time before placing their order, whether for dine-in or takeout. We managed to finish our meal before the 5PM deadline and left, feeling disappointed by the overall experience. We do not plan on returning.
Stopped in with the kids after shopping to have a meal. Ordered and asked for it too stay and were immediately told "We are closing in15 minutes". We received our order and stayed in the restaurant to eat. The young girl on the cash register kept on giving us dirty looks making us feel uncomfortable. Every customer that came in were told, that they were closing shortly before they placed their order, whether it was take out or sit down. We finished our meal before the 5PM deadline and left and will not return again
I have been several times now ... but decided to write a review because i wanted to say i have been impressed each time . The big Mary sandwich is amazing chicken is fresh and crispy and their taters are so yummy.. good portions and the price is right. The Staff is friendly and always have a smile in their face .. definitely recommend this place!
I try to avoid deep fried chicken because of the fat content but I was delighted when we tried Mary Browns. It wasn't greasy, they had generous portions and no problems making substitutions. It is family run and they are fast and friendly! They really try for your business and make sure you are coming back!
