I can't recommend this place enough. I'm a foodie and everything here is great. I have eaten my way through most of the dishes and literally everything is so tasty. We dined with vegan friends and they got something made for them by the chef and they both inhaled their food. They reckon their food was so tasty and full of flavors. Do your tastebuds a favour and give this place a go. You will not be disappointed and it is very cheap for Perth. The service is top notch. Treat yourself :)
Met friends here last Saturday night - first time for all of us. Parking is THE big issue - there was something on at the Astor and with all the other venues along that strip, parking is a nightmare. Mashawi is BYO - a big plus. We shared an entrée dip platter - more than enough for 4 of us - and then 3 mains. Plenty!! Coffees for 3 + corkage and $110. Great value! Belly dancer provided entertainment - though loud music, a fun addition to experience.
We went as a family of three and did BYO on Saturday night. We missed the belly dancer who started at 8pm, which is a pity.The food was really delicious and different, the service could not be faulted and the price was very reasonable.We shared two entrees and two mains between two adults and a teenager, it was great value.The atmosphere was lively but not too much to hinder conversation.A great spot!
Excellent cuisine, right from the starter dips - Tatziki and Mousaka exceptionally good; to the vege platter where the succulent vine leaf wrap is a testimony to the taste of Morroco. The cauliflower potato Tajine we have had a couple of times is nice. Do not miss the lentil soup with tasty Morrocon spices and chickpeas. The Morrocon mint tea which was very good. We went here last Saturday night as we like the subtlety of Moroccan cooking and it had good reviews.The venue was noisy, but the service was excellent.We had a mixed dips as an entrée and followed it with a Lamb Afrah and 2 tagine chicken dishes. All were very tasteful and there were other items on the menu which called for a further visit.Would thoroughly recommend. Noise took it down a star.
Im so happy to finally eat great middle eastern food in Perth. Im from a middle eastern background and Mashawi took me back to meals i had growing up. I loved the care taken from the bread basket to the pickles and the delightful, generous, mouthwatering dishes served. May a add srrved in a timely fashion even with a full house! I will definitely go back for more! Thank you.
Have dined here on three occasions over the last couple of months and absolutely love it. Fantastic food and really, really great service. Word of advice regardless of the night always book. We didn't on a Monday evening and were lucky enough to get the last available table.Without doubt our favourite Highgate/Mt Lawley eating spot.
