I ordered food twice within the last six months via Uber Eats, wings to be specific. On both occasions, including tonight, the homemade dipping sauce was NOT in the bag. Tonight I took the liberty of calling the restaurant and advising them that this has continuously happened and I was assured I would have sayce with my wings. This Resturant already up charges 3 to 4 dollars on menu items because we are ordering via Uber eats the least that can be done is providing everything that comes with an order like dipping sauce for wings. I was really underwhelmed by this sandwich shop. I got the slow roasted turkey sandwich. The service was good and it came out quickly. But the onions on it were so sugary sweet that it overpowered the whole sandwich. I had to take them off and they had soaked into the bread so I ended up eating it as an open-faced sandwich haha. What was left was alright but it wasn’t exceptional. The sandwich came with chips which were delicious and fresh tasting. I might have to come back and try another sandwich, but I really did not enjoy what I ordered and for the price point it was nothing special.
Shrinkflation. I used to love going to Masons in high school. I just went back to get my favorite, eggplant parm, and I noticed the bag was lighter than usual. Upon inspection, it seems like the sandwich is about half its usual size. Not sure if this was a bad batch or if this is the new normal. Compare this pic to a review from a user about 7 months ago and the difference is clear. Honestly would rather pay more for the old sandwich size. The Chickwhich was phenomenal! I also tried the Fishwich which was also very good. Co worker had the Mason burger and loved it! Great for lunch. 10 minute drive from New Rochelle. Of course I’m coming back and now one of my favorite lunch takeout spots.
