Matchbox is my spot every single time I am in DC. Service is impeccable, Food is amazing and Prices are reasonable. This last time we visited for Brunch for My Daughter's Birthday. Our server surprised her with a Birthday treat and it was amazing. If you love good food and amazing service you will not be disappointed.
First visit to matchbox was an interesting one! Overall good experience: the food was okay, the atmosphere was nice, however, the service lacked. There were times when we had to flag down our server at times. Also, they appeared to be out of many menu items which in turn had to offer substitutions for our party.
Food was good but service was terrible. Waited long amounts of time just to order since our server kept disappearing, they also gave our food to another table which we had to point out. Later saw them smoking weed outside.
Great pizza and service consenting it was busy. The restaurant is too dark in some areas and waiters and guests have to squeeze by tables so make sure you get a table not by entrance or kitchen. Réservez une table maintenant
We really enjoyed all the pizzas and sliders with onion rings. We sat outside but with the heaters it was still pleasant in mid December.
Loud and touristy but no complaints. Food was good and didn't have to venture to far from the sight seeing
Food was excellent and the service was prompt and friendly. There was no waiting for my reservation.
