I contacted Chris, who was generous enough to send me two chicken dinners, but unfortunately, they were just as disappointing as the previous meals. I spent $60, and it felt like a total waste of money. It’s obvious that the kitchen needs a new chef. I tried to discuss these issues with Michael, but he was always unavailable. I won’t be ordering these meals again, which is unfortunate because I really enjoy the sandwiches. I had a wonderful experience with a wet mozzarella last year, but this time I was left feeling let down. I’m genuinely sorry to have to write such a negative review.
I can't say enough about the service I received at Matera's. My business hosts a meeting in The Loft, which is their upstairs event space, two times per month, so I have the owner's personal contact information. My friend ordered food from the store butbefore he got a chance to pick up the order he had to deal with a family emergency and the store closed. I called the owner andsomeone met me at the store to make sure the food was cooked fresh to fulfill my friend's order. Not too many businesses offersuch exceptional service any more! Thank you Matera's and your amazing staff!
I can't say enough about the exceptional service I experienced at Matera. My company holds meetings in The Loft, their event space upstairs, twice a month, so I have the owner's personal contact information. My friend had ordered food, but before he could pick it up, he had to deal with a family emergency and the restaurant closed. I called the owner, and someone came to the restaurant to ensure that the food was freshly prepared for my friend's order. Not many places offer such outstanding service anymore! Additionally, last year I bought some fresh mozzarella that was sour. I apologize for the negative review, but I felt it was important to share my experience.

The salads used to be amazing, but today I bought two and was disappointed to find the containers only half full. The dressing has also changed and isn’t as good as it used to be. I paid full price for what feels like two half salads.
