Matiki Island Bbq

The food here is so insanely good, I got the kalbi ribs and chicken with Mac salad and was absolutely blown away, 10000000% a must, I've been going to cal state Fullerton for over a year and have just now tried this place and feel like I've been doing a disservice to myself the whole time. The pineapple swirl is a bit expensive but far better than what Disney serves. Yes, it is good. I was surprised by the simple dressing they use for the green salad, it was tasty same as the macaroni salad, creamy and fresh.. The teriyaki sauce was nice, really nice. The overall BBQ were yummy, and as a family we really enjoyed the rib the most, then beef. Pitifully chicken were on the dry side but the sauce were made to enhance the chicken meat for sure. I recommend the kalabi ribs. I've gotten take out several times. It is great when on point but they are inconsistent. The last time, the rice was mushy, the Mac salad too salty and warm. Chicken and ribs were good.

I had the beef ribs and they were great! Also the service was very welcoming, informative, and friendly. The music playing inside reminds me of being in Hawaii. Will definitely be back!

Beef Ribs are delicious!! the combo plates are about $15 depending the meat you get ...but they do have mini plates would definetly come back 10/10?
