The exterior could use some work, but I personally will eat anywhere if the food is good enough and doesn’t have maggots in it. So, what’s the food like, then? I got a sandwich and something else, I wish I could remember what it’s called. The sandwich wasn’t special, but it was nice. The chicken went along perfectly with the bread. There’s better food out there, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from here again if I was hungry and nearby. This part of the experience didn’t affect my rating, but the cashier could not tell my gender. I watched as she stumbled and struggled picking between he, she, and they. I know I’m pretty, but I am in fact, a man.
I wanted to love the food, but it unfortunately had zero flavor. I got the chicken Caesar club wrap and there was not a lick of seasoning on the chicken and I think they forgot the Caesar dressing so unfortunately it was bone dry and bland. I also got a brownie and it tasted old. I think it was a cheesecake brownie and the cheesecake part was like rubber. The staff was nice though...and based on the reviews I must have caught them on an off day. For a $20 lunch though I won't risk it I'll go elsewhere
First going to Mat's. Family owned business. I have lived in Dearborn just about all my life and so glad my son took me there. The lady at the front was really helpful and our food was awesome. You can eat in or outside. It's in a great neighborhood. If you have never been before you really need to go and try there food. The soup, salads and sandwiches are yummy.
This deli is fantastic! The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly as well. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves authentic deli food. The matzah ball soup is especially delicious! Even though the atmosphere may be a bit more subdued since the passing of the owner, Lew, it is still a wonderful deli that comes highly recommended.

The deli food at this place is excellent! My family recently visited from Chicago and I ordered corned beef, brisket, and pastrami by the pound, along with loaves of their delicious (still warm) rye bread. We had a feast! Their Reubens are also the best in metro Detroit. I love this gem of a restaurant.
Friendly neighborhood deli with wonderful staff. Great sandwiches after visiting the Henry Ford museum. Bread was perfect with chicken salad sandwich. Plenty of food. Definitely will be back.
Edit: Unfortunately, one older lady did not greet me when I entered and continued to stare at me. This behavior deducted a star from my rating.
Great little pick up spot for a made on the spot sandwich. Friendly staff and a relaxed eat in atmosphere

Got a Reuben. The meat was tough and lacked flavor. The price was way too high for the quality.
