I have been wanting to come here for awhile and I was able to finally. I will start off with saying the service is here is amazing! I had Nick and he explained things perfectly! He went over the menu and gave excellent recommendations. As many others said here the portion sizes were astronomically small. I will say that this would be an amazing culinary experience but 100% not a place to have a fulfilling meal without paying $150 a person. We started off with the Lobster tacos and ordered 3 with each being maybe 2in in length. They cost $19 each which was crazy! I could tell the lobster was fresh but honestly the flavour was lacking. We also ordered the Gyoza and got three for $13 each and i...

If you know, you know. I think this is in the top 3 sushi spots in Denver and they each differ slightly depending on what you’re interested in. Sushi Denver, Maysuhisa, and Uchi. I know this is an oversimplification, but between the three, I think Sushi Denver is the most traditional, Uchi is the most experimental/haute cuisine, and Matsuhisa is somewhere in the middle. Incredible food and service. I’ve never had anything but an omakase-like dinner and don’t see a reason to do it any different. The black cod is a signature dish for good reason. The Maguro and Copper River salmon are both outstanding. The seared albacore sashimi with miso crunch and shaved truffle with ponzu should not be mis...

My wife and I were looking for a special date night and Matsuhisa definitely delivered. We were seated promptly and impressed by the extensive whiskey selection. I particularly enjoyed the Kaiyo-The Unicorn. Our waiter was very helpful with recommendations. We shared the Udon Soup and tried a couple of specials. The sashimi trio (Tuna, Salmon, Whitefish) was beautifully presented on ice. We ended the meal with some Mochi, leaving us feeling satisfied but not overly full. The sushi at Matsuhisa is amazing, and we can't wait to return!

My husband and I marked our 10th anniversary at this restaurant with an Omakase meal. The service was outstanding, the ambiance was a perfect blend of elegant and relaxed, and the presentation was impeccable. The cuisine was delicious and fresh, although I have had more innovative and memorable Omakase experiences elsewhere, so I am rating it a 4. Nonetheless, it was still a very enjoyable dining experience! Réservez une table maintenant

Myself, my husband and my niece made a reservation for as soon as they opened. We had no problem finding the valet parking. The restaurant was beautiful and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The food was amazing. While the food was “expensive” you also are getting great quality. This is a once a year type restaurant for us but man this was phenomenal. We did the tasting menu and the Waygu!

The food was great, it has that relax ambiance which i found very inviting. The service was “overservice”, they taking turns come and ask how you doing every 5 minutes and waiting to change out your plate as soon they see you put down your chopsticks. I find this to be very annoying, it interrupted my diner with “ can i take those plates”.

Best sushi in Denver and it’s not up for debate even though people try to say Sushi or Temaki Den. If you’re looking for excellent food, drink, service, and vibes don’t look any further. Have lived here 6 years and haven’t found a place that beats Matsu in any category. This is the same with Aspen Vail locations as well.

The sashimi and nagiri had great taste and texture. The rolls were just OK, IMO a bit soft, but lots of favor. The rice pudding was out of this world good!!! Réservez une table maintenant
