I have visited Maximilians/Sidewood quite a few times and it is consistently fantastic. It caters for a wide range of people and situations and you often see everything from families to footy teams. It is a fun venue, lots of seating options, DJ's on the weekend, an awesome golf driving setup (for wine or vouchers!) and the food is as good as you'll find anywhere. The 'house' wine, Sidewood, is brilliant but there is plenty to choose from if you are after something different. The meals all came out promptly and tasted amazing, a credit to what must have been a very busy kitchen at the time. The staff are brilliant, always attending to your needs. Best of all, we called only 15 minutes before arriving after a cancellation elsewhere and they did an amazing job squeezing 10 of us in on a busy day. We were very appreciative and will definitely be back again.
Arrived for our booking for Saturday lunch on time. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. Our table had a great view of the surrounding landscape. It was raining and foggy. Lent itself to a very cosy and relaxing experience. We had a very engaging waitress who knew her wines and food. She was very attentive without hovering. Our food was delicious and substantial serves. We drank their wine - Sidewood. Well matched to our food. Could not fault the experience at all. Only problem was, I didn't have space to indulge in their delicious desserts.Good reason to go back.
