We ordered food online ahead because we have two little kids, are driving through and we needed food quick. It was 50 minutes after we ordered (30 minutes post stated ready state) before the food was done, and that’s only because I arrived and asked where it was. We should have just ordered at the counter for that timeframe. We didn’t get the kids’ foods we ordered though. Charged for kids turkey and ham sandwiches, only given grilled cheeses, they were out of cookies but provided a normal size cookie at least. I dislike leaving negative reviews, but every single time I visit this place, I find myself waiting at the drive-thru speaker for an extended period. When I finally get to the window, it’s the same issue. On my most recent visit, I was at the speaker for 10 minutes. While I did get a greeting, I was asked to wait again. Ten minutes, really? I decided to go inside, thinking that perhaps the drive-thru was just busy. To my surprise, there wasn't a single car in sight! Once inside, I was assisted immediately and received my food quicker than I ever have at the drive-thru. Is this a joke?
We live about the same distance from both McAlister's locations in Springfield, but this one is definitely my favorite. The women at the counter are amazing; they're incredibly friendly and really make you feel welcome. Our food always arrives hot, fresh, and accurate, so the kitchen staff is clearly doing a great job. La Shonda, you may be new, but you're doing a fantastic job—keep it up!
The service has significantly improved over the past few years. The cream of potato and chicken dumpling soup is fantastic! I really enjoy the Caesar salad as well. If you order the half-and-half portion, it’s more than enough! I usually opt for a larger bowl of soup because I can't get enough of it.

The pecan berry salad and club sandwich were both wonderful.It was even more a pleasure to encounter such helpful and energetic counter workers. Complete with menu suggestions and drink refills without prompting.

LaShonda was the nicest cashier, friendliest disposition. Greated everyone with a smile and was very genuine. Food was delish, Chili was the perfect temp!
