What an incredible restaurant! I was in North Carolina assisting a friend with her mother's house, and we decided to grab lunch here. It was truly remarkable. It's an old-school BBQ joint, reminiscent of the places I frequented as a child. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and even though the restaurant was bustling with customers, the team handled everything smoothly without any chaos. I highly recommend this spot!
Approved by the clean plate club! The waiting staff was very friendly, and the barbecue was solid, with a great variety of side dishes. The buffet could use clearer labels for easier navigation, but I would definitely return. A local from my hotel recommended it as a nice change from the usual chains. I would definitely recommend it to others!
My family wanted a new food experience and McCalls was it. The buffet table was filled with a variety . From fruits and vegetables to seafood, cakes, and pies. The wait staff doesn't allow your cups to go empty the entire visit. Good food. Greatatmosphere. Reasonably priced.
Wide selection of really good food on the buffet. The fresh cornbread, rolls, and hush puppies with some butter-Yum! Plenty of home style vegetables. I had chicken livers, black eyed peas and hushpuppies. Hubby's first time so he tried everythingincluding dessert bar. Réservez une table maintenant
The sandwich was incredibly moist and flavorful, and even though I wasn't particularly hungry, I devoured it quickly. My only minor complaint would be the absence of Texas Pete hot sauce packets on the way out, as I would have liked to add some kick to my meal.

The food is excellent, but the drive-thru experience leaves much to be desired—especially if you're not heading straight home. They even charge for utensils like forks! Not a big deal, but still a bit odd.
