OK, we all know what to expect when we drop by for something at a McDonald's but today the experience was something out of the ordinary, well at least for me.Traveling south after a long weekend in snow country we spotted the sign on the left of the highway and decided to stop for a quick sandwich and a stretch.No question, this eatery is nicely turned out and equipped like most of the new or newer Mcdonald's locations but the difference that struck me was when we were sitting down. On July 3rd, as we were returning home, we decided to stop at this McDonald's. It was quite crowded, but the staff appeared to be organized and efficient, keeping things moving smoothly. We always look for a nice grassy spot to enjoy our road lunches, and fortunately, this McDonald's has a large parking lot with some green areas where our dog can do its business. Typically, my wife goes inside to place our order while I keep an eye on the kids and walk the dog. Inside, the line was moving steadily and quickly despite the restaurant being busy. I love Christmas and every thing about it...the music, the decorations and all the festive foods. So any time something new comes out I'm usually one of the 1st to try it. So last night I got my hubby to puck up McDonald's and I was excited to try the Turtles Sundae. When we got home and into light I saw there was no pecan pieces but as I was already home I wasn't going back. Today when I stopped in and told a manager what happend ony travels. I didn't expect to get anything but thought they should at least be aware. The manager acted as if I was bothering him and said well its a new item the staff are not used to making it yet! Sorry that's no excuse!! Train your staff before putting it on...
I order plain hamburgers (no cheese) regularly from McDonalds. I would say, majority of the time the order is wrong. I blame the staff in the kitchen. My receipt is usually correct and says right on it what I ordered. But it comes with cheese more times then not. I guess you would call this, poor quality control. The worst is when this happens with take out, as you have already left the restaurant. Réservez une table maintenant
This McDonalds now has the 100+ different Pop creation machine by Coca Cola. Such a cool machine gives you the option to have about 10 different diet selections, and around 90 different sugar options. It is also to get to on your way to Sauble Beach. It is a busy restaurant, but the service was good, store relatively clean.
Stopped here on our way to the cottage, hit the drive-thru with a large order full of requests to keep all 5 of us happy...The young man on the order speaker was very friendly, the food was exactly to order and was much faster then we get back home...Both my wife and I said as we pulled out "WOW, that was awesome"!!
