My experience at our local McDonald's store in Seaford Rise, SA this afternoon was rude and extremely disappointing. My partner and I visit this store daily and usually purchase multiple coffees. Today, we decided to use some Monopoly tokens that were expiring soon. We ordered two small coffees and two small fries through the drive-thru, only to be told by both the team member and the manager that we could only use one token per person. Just last week, a young employee was able to accommodate our request to use three tokens without any issue. We were then directed to refer to terms and conditions that were not even provided on the tokens. This policy felt like a gift being taken back from us...
I actually really like this McDonalds fast food outlet. I usually will go through the drive thru to get a McCafe coffee, and majority of the time I receive great customer service, fast service and rarely have to sit in the waiting bay, Hungry Jacks down the road is a different story. The coffee is always great as well, who would've thought that for just the local maccas.
This is not a busy place, being in Aldinga. But they take the longest time to make coffee, probably only surpassed by Victor Harbor McDonalds. Some of the staff are super friendly and pleasant but others look like they've swallowed a fly. Manager needs to see why staff are not happy to address the issue is my guess.
The restaurant was very dirty, with no customers at 9:40am. The tables and chairs were not cleared or wiped, and the floors appeared to have not been cleaned since before Christmas. The staff were unenthusiastic about helping with the automated service, and the kids play area was also dirty.
