We ordered take out for my moms 85th birthday, as her mobility is limited and it was a rainy dreary day. I understand the quality won't be as good as dining in, but we weren't prepared for everything to be inedible. She had the fried scallop and clams combo. She barely ate any. I've never had a chicken parm dinner that I won't eat, and yet this was so bad that I threw it away. Huge portion, if it were good I could've made 3 meals of it. The ziti was severely undercooked, the chunky red sauce had a bitter taste, and the chicken was a mangled mess that I could barely cut into. My boys even passed on the chicken wings. The baked Macaroni and cheese was running out of the container and all over...
If you're looking for a delicious brunch spot, I highly recommend this restaurant. The price per person is in the $20-30 range, but the food, service, and atmosphere all get a perfect score of 5. Some dishes that I recommend are the Fried Scallops with Garlic Sauce, Onion Rings and Mashed Potatoes, and the Broiled Seafood Supreme Casserole. Additionally, there is plenty of parking available, including a free parking lot.

I had family visiting from out of state and thought of McGovern's immediately! We were a were a large group nine people . The server we had treated us as if were long lost friends. My family was more than satisfied with the choice of restaurant and the food and service. When they visit again they asked to go back to McGovern's. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!
