This place has the best BBQ I've had since the late BrickPitt on Old Shell (R.I.P.). They offer fantastic side dishes too, which is something many other BBQ spots in the area lack. You can really taste the missing ingredient that sets their BBQ apart. The food is simply incredible—everything on the menu is delicious! I recommend getting one of everything to share with your family; you'll see what I mean! The flavors are so good that you won't want to stop eating. Just a heads-up, you might want to wear a shirt you'll be okay with getting a little messy because this is an unforgettable BBQ experience! Or like me, just dive into the food and forget about the mess—eat until you can barely move!...
If you're looking for authentic Southern BBQ, this is the spot to visit. I always test BBQ by ordering with the sauce on the side. In my opinion, if the meat tastes great without sauce, it's the real deal. And McMillan's is definitely the real deal. I enjoyed a rib and chicken plate, and I will certainly be back whenever I'm in the Mobile area.
The red velvet cake was delicious but I didn't check my order b4 I left. We ordered one with and one without bbq sauce and sauce was on both. The greens were bitter and the baked beans seriously didn't taste like baked beans. I've heard great things about this place so I was excited to have lunch. To me, it was just O.K.
