I am thrilled we decided to eat at McNamara’s this evening! I had the Cobb Salad and am sure glad I did!!!! The lettuce was crisp and all the toppings were fresh and tasted great! The blue cheese and the bacon were out of this world and were just perfect. My children had the chop cheese and fries and the pub burger with tots. My husband had the Black and Bleu burger and Tots! All four of us finished our entire meal and were completely satisfied upon leaving. We even had an allergy to be mindful of and were super confident with our safety because of the amazing staff. We stopped by for a quick bite and a few drinks, and overall, our experience was decent. We ordered a couple of appetizers, a burger meal, a couple of beers, and a Bloody Mary. While the Bloody Mary had a nice garnish, it was quite bland, despite being heavily salted on the rim. I decided against ordering a second drink and chose water instead. I also got a plate of fries, which, although they looked appealing, were lukewarm and somewhat mushy. The tater tots and the burger meal were much better, though. On the plus side, the lavender drink was quite strong, which I really appreciated. The black and white beer looked cool, but it tasted just like a regular Guinness, which was fine. The biggest disappointment was the fiery Irishman burger—it wasn't spicy at all. The quality of the food was good overall, but I was still let down; it was just a decent burger instead of what I had hoped for. In general, everyone else seemed happy with their meals, while I left feeling a bit disappointed but not upset. There's definitely a lot to enjoy here, but if you're looking for a truly spicy burger, you might want to look elsewhere. However, I'm open to giving it another try in the future.
It was a perfect place for us to dine at. We love pubs and pub food. We weren't disappointed at all! The onion soup with the thick layer melded cheese on top and the hot tasty cooked onion soup was to die for. It was one of the best I've ever had. The lamb stew was wonderful. The chicken Mac and cheese tasted too hot for us, even adding some extra sauce. The chicken was dry tasting. So, we wouldn't order that dish again. The draft beer was good and cold. Talk about amazing pub meals, this local eatery packs a punch in the pasta!! Mama Mac has the best spicy chicken mac and cheese hands down. The portions are great and the bread is a great savory bite too. My lemon drop has a twist unlike no other. The spacious seating is awesome for a large party or something quiet and peaceful for a table for one. The bar area offers a wide selection of drafts and unique spirits. Austin the bartender was pleasant and friendly. Can’t wait to return and try some other meals.
The atmosphere and service at the restaurant were decent, but the food did not meet my expectations. I ordered a medium burger, but it arrived excessively greasy and well overcooked. The teriyaki chicken sandwich was messy, and the chicken tasted as if it had been improperly thawed from the freezer. If you’re just looking for drinks and a few snacks, this place could work; however, I wouldn’t recommend it for a full meal.
