Enjoyed a relaxed Sunday afternoon here with family. After a walk at the waterfront, we came up to Dunlop St. and looked for a place to have a drink. Most front patios of pubs were filled up and we decided to pick this one with nice indoor seats that we could cool off from the heat. It was spacious inside the restaurant with bar counter and comfortable leather like chairs. A regular old fashion pub with traditional bar deco, clean and comfortable. We liked the old photos on the wall...Menu was what you expected from the English pubs with choices of salad, finger food, sandwich, meat and burgers. A good list of beers, bottle or on tap. Draught beers both from domestic and imported from Belgiu...
We stopped into Mcreilly's tonight for dinner. The food was excellent!! We had the prime rib burger with French fries, and roast beef dip. The burger was fabulous!! Cooked perfectly and fresh home cut fries! The roast beef dip is one of the best we have tried too. Their menu is very good and we have tried several things on the menu in the past which were all very good. Excellent service from "Chloe". We will be back!!
My wife and I stopped here for a drink and an order of wings while waiting for another person to finish work. The service was fast and friendly and the wings were cooked just as i had ordered.The pub is in an old building on Dunlop Street and has a "pub feel" to it.One beer and an order of wings is not much of a basis for a review, but we would definitely go back.
Stopped in for lunch and sat on their patio on a lovely summer day. Very busy but the service was excellent. The choice of menu was a good variety of pub and English food and other. I had the slouvaki/rice/Greek salad and my husband had the roast beef sliders w/ yorkshire pudding as the buns. All was delicious. Only had 3 selections for dessert so took a pass. We stopped in for a quick lunch and once again we were not disappointed. This restaurant is usually not busy at lunch hour during the week so it is reasonably quiet and conducive to conversation. Our server was personable and the service was quick. I had the corned beef sandwich on rye and my friend had the wing special. The food was good and portions ample.
Great on a week night or afternoon. Been here many times with friends and i've never been disappointed, the food is great and the staff is friendly. It can be a little crowded on a Fri/Sat night, they definitely need a bigger space and it would most certainly fill. I strongly recommend this location.
What a great find in downtown Barrie. Great food, great local beer!! We had the roast beef dip, which comes with a garden salad or fresh cut fries, and wings. Let me tell you, these wings are delicious and half price on Mondays !! Friendly staff and great prices will make it one of our go to places.
Went for lunch with family visiting from out of town ... busy lunchtime but reasonably quick service and decent food. Besides the usual pug grub they also have some good salad options, and a fairly good selection of beers on tap. Servers friendly and helpful. Has a front patio in the Summer. We went there as a group after an event.Had drink and dinner. Service was friendly, fast and very good. Food was decent and what you expect in a pub. Wine selection was all from Chili I believe and was fair - most people don't go to a pub to drink wine.All in all we had a good time.
