Our evening meal here was probably the best of our stay on Cabo de Gata a huge plate of vegetarian nibbles to start (hummus, guacamole, falafels, crudités, pitta, lettuce, tomatoes), and a wonderfully fresh and flavourful plate of black tomatoes with garlic. Then Jenny got stuck into a large skillet of Moroccan spiced fish and vegetables, while I dealt enthusiastically with a large plate of gnocchi with a mushroom and spinach sauce. A couple of large glasses of white wine apiece helped it all slip down ever so easily, and the Moroccan waiter was as helpful chatty and friendly as you could possibly hope for.
