I have no idea how this restaurant received so many good reviews. The food was simply mediocre at exceptional food prices. We literally had to spit out the raw oysters and had stomach issues the next morning. The pork chop was overcooked and therefore dry, probably because they butterflied it (like a diner would do). I specifically told the waiter that I did not want the pork chop to be well done and dry, and he assured me it would be slightly pink but it was not. Stopped in for an early date night dinner with my wife, had never been before walk in 2 too, about 5PM. A few other tables filled, booths all reserved. Very friendly staff, quaint and tight unless you can get a booth. Service was good, you can tellthey have a long service staff as all the workers seem like good friends as well. I’m not sure how many times we’ve had dinner here, but each and every time, it’s wonderful! We started with the fried calamari with hot peppers and gorgonzola (it’s our go to appetizer). I had the stuffed chicken breast and it was so good! Itis stuffed with spinach, prosciutto, and burrrata cheese, and it’s definitely overflowing. Half came home with me for lunchtomorrow. We recently relocated to Middlebury and heard great things about this restaurant for lunch and dinner. One evening, we decided to check it out and found the atmosphere to be cozy and charming. The dinner dishes we ordered were tasty, but unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The waitstaff seemed more attentive to the locals at the bar rather than us. We had to call for the waitress ourselves, and no bread was provided unless we specifically requested it. Throughout our visit, we received no acknowledgment from the staff. While we weren’t rushed, it was clear that the environment felt unwelcoming for newcomers.
My boyfriend and I went to Meet Me Here for the first time last night …8/13/22 at 7pm …we sat at the bar right in front of the bartender. She did not greet us and continued rinsing the cups and talking to the customers next to us about her vacationand her illnesses (Covid). We sat there for about 10 minutes and finally got up and left. How difficult is it to greet yourcustomers? Very disappointed!!
The short rib sandwich was exceptional, and the macaroni and cheese was the best we've ever tasted. The service was even better than the food! Holy mother of GOD this food was unreal. I haven’t had this sickeningly good food in a long time. I am so happy, thankful and excited to have this restaurant near me. Wow wow wow I am almost speechless! Incredible!!!!!
