Megna Indian Takeaway

Had a great meal (4 of us) here on Friday night catching up with some good friends who we have not eaten out with for…about 18 months, strangely.We had poppadoms and pickle tray to share and then all ordered from the chef’s recommendations part of the menu (something we also do as these dishes tend to get more attention by the chef). They were all delicious, beautifully cooked and very satisfying. We also had the mushroom rice, pilau rice and a range of the naans (plain, peshwari and garlic) and all were fresh and yummy.A small restaurant with an intimate atmosphere and a family feel. We were made to feel very welcome and are bound to return when we are next in Chipping Sodbury.

Dreadful. Pleasant staff but grubby, as was the restaurant. Poppadoms tastless and collapsible, accompaniments bland. Then came the butter chicken which was those frozen chunks, chewy and tastless so thought I'd stick with the pilau which was okay. But the butter sauce must have had half a pound of sugar tipped in. I gave up, paid and left. It would have been pointless saying anything tbh, they wouldn't have understood and maybe, especially as it wasn't cheap, I expected too much. The loos weren't clean and unfortunately I saw in the kitchen en route. I now know their hygiene rating is only 3. Up to you but I'd swerve and carry on walking.

The food was absolutely stunning. Bursting with flavor, the lamb was cooked to perfection, with tender pieces that melted in your mouth. There were also great vegetarian options for my partner. The delivery was perfect, arriving 10 minutes earlier than expected. We'll definitely be ordering from you repeatedly. It's a solid 5 stars, but I wish I could give you 10!

Had takeaway via deliveroo. Very disappointing meal. Food lukewarm at best on arrival (I live 1 min drive away), onion bhaji dry and tasteless, curry was average.

The food was excellent and delicious, and the ambiance of the place was lovely. The staff were friendly, contributing to a wonderful atmosphere.

Matiur and his staff are incredibly hospitable and the food is always 5 Star.
