The food was decent. It has a very neighborhood bar vibe, almost like a supper club, but not quite. The meals are served on foam plates, it’s cash-only, and the menu is a card located on the table. Everyone there seems to know each other. The burger was good—not extraordinary, but solid. I usually expect a larger portion than just 7 or 8 tater tots, but I guess it's healthier this way, so that's fine. The onion rings were quite tasty. The service was polite and prompt, and the staff was happy to share their opinions, which is all you can really ask for.
Old school shot and a beer bar with good no frills food. An experience dripping with history and nostalgia worth the trip. Make sure you get a DAB with your meal. Bring cash.
Good food, service nice place. Generally get the cheeseburger and a beer. Old time atmosphere/ decor. Meiers has been a go to spot for years never disappointed.
Use to go here as a kid growing up in Wilmette. Nice casual spot to grab a burger and a drink.
