we have booked melba for two people the lobster banquet for 150 dollars. at the arrival we were advised service would be slow as it was busy, but there were many empty tables. we waited 20 minutes to get our cocktails and order, at which point we were advised that they do not have the WA lobster, only fresh local lobster for $40 more. we found any article of the banquet rather disappointing; the lobster did not come with noodles as advertised, and the sauce was underwhelming. the portion size of the other dishes was small and quite simple for the price. the desert was a bananenfritter with ice cream; the frit was no more than a quarter of a little banana. total was our bill $226; my partner...
This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. The customer service from the owners was outstanding. We had a reservation and mentioned that we had a one-year-old. When we arrived, they had already set up a high chair, plates, and cutlery for our child, and their service throughout the evening was exceptional. We opted for the petite banquet, which was very reasonably priced considering the generous portions. We left feeling satisfied, having enjoyed every dish. The staff went out of their way to ensure that we had a great experience, and we will definitely be recommending this restaurant to others.
My family and I went to Melba's with our two young children. The staff was extremely welcoming, offering coloring activities and plastic tableware for the kids. Our food arrived promptly, and the adults ordered the mini buffet which turned out to be the best meal we've had in a while. Everything was fresh, hot, and the portions were generous. The drinks and wine were excellent, and the service was top-notch. We will definitely be recommending Melba's to friends and family traveling to the Gold Coast.
We had an amazing experience at Melba's Asian Seafood. The food was delicious and served promptly. It was great value for money, but the best part of the night was the exceptional service from Susanne and Teddy. We were a large group of 27, celebrating our grandson's birthday. The hosts surprised us with a Karaoke machine and kept us entertained for hours. We wish we had discovered this restaurant earlier, as we would have definitely returned. Réservez une table maintenant
After debating which Chinese restaurant to visit and after reading reviews we settled for Melbas. Great food ! The Peking duck was succulent and carved at the table and all other dishes were delicious too service was fantastic , quick, attentive and genuinely happy to see us ! Well priced , good size meals ticks every box look no further. We would definitely return.
We thoroughly enjoyed the seafood banquet for $150 for 2 persons. The food was delicious and the people were lovely. The restaurant was clean and the service was great. It's a hidden gem in the Gold coast. I'd say it was one of the best meals we had on our holiday. Well worth the $150 and included plenty of seafood including half lobster!
Best fresh seafood on the coast! I took my partner here for lunch on Valentine’s Day, we really wanted to try abalone so we asked a waitress what she would recommend, (steamed abalone and ginger) we received the best customer service and will be going back again for more, nothing less then 5 stars
