My sister and I had a fantastic experience at Melekete Restaurant. The waitresses were incredibly friendly, greeting us with warm smiles and assisting us with the pronunciation of the dish names. The atmosphere was cozy, and the soft jazz music perfectly complemented the setting. At the end of our meal, we were pleasantly surprised when the waitress brought out a complimentary slice of strawberry shortcake for my sister, and then the entire restaurant joined in singing "Happy Birthday to Ya" by Stevie Wonder. It was truly an unforgettable evening. Thank you for your excellent service, Melekete Restaurant! We can't wait to visit again soon!
Got the veggie combo with injera bread, and sambusas with chicken stuffing for an appetizer. Enjoyed it all, esp. the sambusas. Celebrated my daughter's birthday, and they provided a generous piece of cake with a candle on top, and 3 staffers sang happy birthday to her. At 2 pm on a weekday, we were almost the only customers. Parking: Free parking is limited. Across the street is a metered lot.
I highly recommend this restaurant for everyone who loves Ethiopian food. We had kitfo and dulet for late break fast. My Niece had salmon fish which was so delicious. Such a testy food. Very friendly customer service. clean and fresh restaurant. I would like to say the stuff Thank you for such incredible service. I highly recommend trying the Injera, Kitfo, Samosa, Sambusa, and Veggie Combo! The flavors of the Ethiopian dishes are incredible and made for a delightful lunch experience. The service was great and the atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!

Delicious Ethiopian food. I don't live in Silver spring but I make it a point to eat here whenever I'm visiting. One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. All the dishes are flavorful. The injera bread is perfectly balanced as well. In some places, it can be too sour but it's great at this place. Highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The food at this restaurant is fantastic and fairly priced. I brought a friend who had never tried Ethiopian cuisine before, and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner—it's also a great spot for a date night. I highly recommend trying the beef tibs. The only downside is that parking in the small lot can be tricky, so I usually visit during off-peak hours.

Selam Woldemariam is an exceptional guitarist and a true legend in his home country. It's a delight to experience his performances every Friday at this charming and elegant restaurant, where the delicious food and drinks flow continuously, and every guest is treated like family.
