My sister and I had a fantastic experience at Melekete Restaurant. The waitresses were incredibly friendly, greeting us with warm smiles and assisting us with the pronunciation of the dish names. The atmosphere was cozy, and the soft jazz music perfectly complemented the setting. At the end of our meal, we were pleasantly surprised when the waitress brought out a complimentary slice of strawberry shortcake for my sister, and then the entire restaurant joined in singing "Happy Birthday to Ya" by Stevie Wonder. It was truly an unforgettable evening. Thank you for your excellent service, Melekete Restaurant! We can't wait to visit again soon!
I went to celebrate a birthday yesterday and had a fantastic experience! We ordered veggie and chicken sambusas, a veggie platter, and some chicken dishes for others at the table. Everything was delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly and kind, going above and beyond by bringing out a happy birthday sign, flowers, and even playing the "Happy Birthday" song over the speakers. The food was exceptional. For those with dietary restrictions, they offered gluten-free and vegetarian options. Plus, they had a variety of kid-friendly items on the menu! Overall, it was a wonderful celebration.
I highly recommend this restaurant for everyone who loves Ethiopian food. We had kitfo and dulet for late break fast. My Niece had salmon fish which was so delicious. Such a testy food. Very friendly customer service. clean and fresh restaurant. I would like to say the stuff Thank you for such incredible service. Delicious Ethiopian food. I don't live in Silver spring but I make it a point to eat here whenever I'm visiting. One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. All the dishes are flavorful. The injera bread is perfectly balanced as well. In some places, it can be too sour but it's great at this place. Highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The food at this restaurant is fantastic and fairly priced. I brought a friend who had never tried Ethiopian cuisine before, and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner—it's also a great spot for a date night. I highly recommend trying the beef tibs. The only downside is that parking in the small lot can be tricky, so I usually visit during off-peak hours.
Gracious amounts of injera on this pick up; it was not available when it said it would be on the application yet the food quality was worth it; gracious amounts of food and seasoned perfectly... could be a little more spicy, but otherwise.. great! Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
