Walked past and noted was just locals and as we as bar top Pintxo as is the norm in Basque region and certainly Old Town of Bilbao) we could see kebabs being cooked in one corner..... Being self conscious tourists we walked on by..... But not finding anything further up the street that took our fancy the smell of Kebabs drew us in on way back. How glad we were. An Amstel beer glass of white wine served by the lovely girl behind bar who took no offence at me asking if she spoke English and two Tortilla Pintox one mushroom onion the other chorizo were €7.60.... the kebabs were it seemed a separate enterprise ... Cooked over real charcoal with a zesty citrus spicy dressing which looked a guarde...
Bar de Iturribide, donde se hacen los pintxos morunos más rikos de todo Bilbao!! Aunke la relación precio-tamaño de los trozos de cordero..... Se le ha ido un poko de las manos..... Ya ke los trozos de carne han ido disminuyendo de tamaño (aunke siguen siendo de gran calidad) y el precio ha ido subiendo!! Pero bueno, aún así..... Soy asidua clienta del Melilla y Fez y siempre llevo a mis amig@s a ké prueben los morunos!! Las buenas costumbres..... No hay ke perderlas
We stopped here as it looked a nice local bar. We were not disappointed. The beer and local white wine were good quality. We choose an onion tortilla from the vast array on display and some bread and cheese delicious. The food was fresh and the tortilla was still warm, but also wished we had ordered the kebab! A really nice local bar with a lovely friendly atmosphere to sit and watch the world go by.
