Melissa's Taqueria Tequila

So my best girlfriend in the whole wide world took me and my little sister to this restaurant on Taco Tuesday. Me and my silly self didn't know that there was really a meaning behind Taco Tuesday until I came here. The tacos on the list for taco Tuesday special we're $2 each. Why in the world would it be $2 each and I'm hungry? So oh yeah I had the pastor, carnitas, chicken, and fish yes I was hungry. My best friend had the same thing and my sister had basically a vegan taco without the shell. It was wild to see a taco off the shelf sitting on a plate it looks so naked I felt embarrassed for it lol. A young lady by the name of Maria Carla was so attentive to making sure that my sister stayed on her detox. I believe she had baked vegetable or steamed and it looked good. Sister said it tasted good and that's all that made the difference. We were so pleased with Maria Carla that we doubled her tip we enjoyed that she was very attentive to us and that's the type of customer service we like to receive. However, I find it kind of strange that this place does not serve hot coffee yeah there's a popular coffee spot next door but why go outside when I can get it right here at the place that I'm at ? There's nothing like a good hot cup of bustelo with your meal you know what I mean? perhaps moving forward you guys might consider incorporating hot coffee. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's ever asked for coffee and a taco restaurant.Had it not been for Maria Carla and her eager to please and great customer service the restaurant may have received a three-star. The food did not come to us piping hot like we expected to be but because we are so hungry we hurry up and wolfed it down lol. Also I was expecting to have lime as well as a hot sauce and theverde sauce but as i normally get when I go to restaurants for tacos but I did not receive this automatically. However and I do say however with the capital H, had it not been for Maria Carla who bought us the sour cream as well as the chipotle sauce, I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much because of the fact it was not served piping hot. This place is small has a full bar and I'm sure it can get pretty crowded. My sister enjoyed it so much she will be back when she is off her detox. Looking forward to coming back and hopefully our waitress Maria Carla will be there to greet us again.

Went on a Friday and had a great time. I don't know when they added vegan options to their menu, but I'm so glad they did! I had the vegan enchiladas which were good with a nice kick. My husband had three veggie tacos, some he had to request no cheese, but they were really yummy (cauliflower, beet, forget the 3rd one). Drinks were good and Happy Hour goes late! Biggest surprise-The DJ was really great! I would've been dancing if I wasn't eating. Don't believe these times listed-they didn't close at 10pm!!Vegetarian options: Veggie tacos (4 I think), vegan burrito, vegan enchiladas

Would have loved to try because I heard good things and I’m in the area, spent 20 minutes on dial tone because no one would answer, and when someone did pickup I was told I needed to give her a minute with an attitude, after I just gave her 20, I managed a restaurant and a phone call for one thing at 3:00 shouldn’t be much of a problem but service isnt at the forefront.

Great little restaurant. Food is awsome. Fun karaoke but he needs to be more attentive to karaoke and not eating at another table.Food: 5/5
