We found a great restaurant in Beacon! After a disappointing experience at the Vinyl Room, we were eager to try some good gastropub food. Personally, I was so hungry that I could have eaten a live cow, but our server recommended the burger as a good compromise. The seating was a bit tight and since we hadn't made a reservation, they initially tried to seat us at a small overflow table by the bathroom and kitchen where they were unloading deliveries and folding napkins. I had the pleasure of dining at Melzingah Tap House after a long day of hiking in and around Beacon. The staff was very accommodating and attentive throughout the entire meal. The ambiance was excellent, despite it being quite busy for a Wednesday night, we had no trouble getting a table for two without a reservation. We started with the pretzel appetizer which was delicious, especially with the accompanying sauce. My friend enjoyed the pork chop, and I was pleasantly surprised by the chicken and dumplings dish I ordered. Be prepared for a long wait if you choose to dine at this restaurant. My group of six waited 40 minutes after placing our order. The waiter checked on us multiple times during this time, but our food still took a long time to arrive. The guests seated next to us, who came in after us, had already finished their meals and were ready to pay before our food came out. When it finally did, the fries were lukewarm and overcooked. To top it off, a 20% service charge was added to the bill, which felt like a disrespectful way to treat customers. I would have given zero stars, but one star goes to the friendly waiter.

The food and the ambiance were fine, but I cannot overlook the unacceptable service at this restaurant. We arrived for lunch at 1:40 pm and did not receive our food until 3 pm, which is completely unacceptable. This long wait was especially difficult with kids in tow. The service was abysmal and I would not recommend this place, especially for families. Do not visit, especially with children. Réservez une table maintenant

The restaurant offers delicious food with excellent service. I dined in during lunchtime and enjoyed a meal with a rating of 4 for both the food and service. The atmosphere was also nice, with a rating of 4. I highly recommend trying the Mac and Cheese.

I had dinner at this restaurant and paid $20-30 per person. The food and service both scored a 4 out of 5, while the atmosphere was a perfect 5. I highly recommend trying the Beacon Burger.
