Meño's Place Taco Shop

I came here a couple of weeks ago. I got chicken tacos with rice and a cheese papusa. Personally, its bland for my tastes. Not enough seasoning. I like my stuff seasoned and flavorful and spicy, and it feels like they maybe make it more bland on purpose to cater to the non hispanic population over there. The rice was... okay. Still kind of bland imo. Lowkey reminds me of how bland Chipotle is. Its great once, but I wouldnt reccomend it to someone. The cheese papusa didnt have any salt and the queso seemed unflavored too. The salsa was also not spicy. Even the hottest one. If you have not tried authentic Mexican food and do not like spices and spicy foods, this is perfect for you! The people...

Kinda rough to be honest. I got the street taco meal. Asada, chicken, Al pastor, and birria. The birria had decent flavor but it was just alright. The chicken was nicely seasoned. The asada was bland. My favorite was the Al pastor, great flavor. The beans were lukewarm warm and not seasoned. The rice was very disappointing. It was closer to white rice than spanish rice. The pineapple with coconut cream was a very nice dessert. The salsas lived up to their labels of mild, hot, and very hot…..that was nice. Great friendly service and a unique atmosphere.

I've only had the tacos, but they're excellent! My favorite is the al pastor. The staff is very friendly and the place has a quirky vibe, which I love, and they have a great deal for taco Tuesday. I'll be back!

We went for Taco Tuesday. Street tacos for $1.25. we got El pastor and they were delicious!
