We wanted to go on vacation at the côte d'azur and it seems to be borderline impossible to find vegan places there (or even surrounding cities , so we chose Toulon also b/c of Menthe Chocolat, and we were not disappointed! The staff is super friendly and was patient with my improvement-needing french skills. Outside seats are located on a place with a nice ambience and have lots of sunshades. The brunch menu is extensive, configurable, and most importantly, very tasty. The Burger is served with salad and roasted but cold potatoes in olive oil and herbs which is a nice alternative to the fries you usually get everywhere. Among others, they also have a regional beer from Toulon (La Censurée which I can recommend. There are also other options (Salads, Smoothies, Coctails (1 w/o alcohol , Ice Cream, Menu of the day, ... . Updated from previous review on 2022-07-24

The owner of this vegan cafe is a trained French Patissiere so you know you’re going to get good cakes!! To start, we ordered sandwiches, which aren’t big but pack a lot of flavour. We decided we were still hungry and I ordered a tarte salee (curry with vegetables) and my friend ordered another sandwich. Although not really hungry anymore, we ordered a piece of apple tarte and a piece of carrot cake and were blown away. The crust on the apple tarte was perfect and the carrot cake was so moist. We also ordered two cappuccinos and a hot chocolate very good as well. The price was very reasonable at 27€, especially as the food kept us full for hours! They also offer gluten free bread.

This is a cute little place. I went on a Sunday and they have some good breakfast deals. I paid €13.50 for pancakes with maple syrup, a hot chocolate, orange juice and a piece of chocolate cake! English is limited, so it is a plus to speak at least a bit of French.

No more 100%, as they have changed owners, they have added cheese in their menu. The service is very different before and the food is not so good.
