I appreciated the idea of putting coleslaw in the sandwich, but I wish they hadn't mixed it. If the coleslaw isn’t good, it can really ruin the dish. Unfortunately, I couldn’t remove it and couldn’t bring myself to finish it, so I ended up leaving it for the birds. It broke my heart to waste all that tasty crab! I had high hopes for this meal, and I know it has a lot of great aspects. The service was excellent, the fries were fantastic, and the ingredients were high quality, but perhaps the recipes could use some tweaking? Merino’s is a local institution for its seafood market and its food. Nothing fancy here but delicious, freshly prepared seafood at the best prices in town. Order at the counter downstairs or upstairs, it’s all the same menu. Picnic tables outside or you can eat inside upstairs. There is a patio and some tables inside. Be prepared to wait regardless. We had the fresh Dungeness crab and the Rockfish fish and chips. The rockfish is mild and flakey. And it’s the least expensive on the menu but we thought it was great. I experienced better customer service here than in many 5-star restaurants. The indoor views in Westport are truly the best. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I visited in the summer and had a long wait to sit outside, but when I came back in early November, I finally got to enjoy sitting indoors. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

I'm gonna say best fish and chips in Westport. We make a point to stop here for a bite anytime we are in town. It can get busy quickly, so plan either to wait a bit or get an early lunch and beat the lines.Table seating outdoors on a nice day, or there is a dining area upstairs with a bar and balcony if you want to escape the elements a bit. Absolute gem of a restaurant. We stopped for lunch and had the Rock fish, it was delicious, fresh, crispy and not remotely greasy. Wonderful service as well and we had a sea view sitting upstairs on the balcony. Very well priced and really clean, highly recommend.

The fish and chips are excellent, regardless of which type of fish you choose. The clam chowder is among the best I’ve ever tasted. The customer service is outstanding, and Mervin is really great!

Order a large clam chowder. It was one of the best chowder I've had. The oster crackers were good too. I will stop by when I'm in town again.

Top spot for fresh catch local seafood! Lunch options are excellent, definitely a must when passing thru Westport. And bring a cooler

Stroll along the beach and explore the town, then enjoy some Halibut from Merinos. It makes for a perfect day!
