The aroma is fantastic, and the crema and flavor are simply outstanding—it tastes as if it has just come out of the roasting vats. Locally roasted in Queensland, Merlo offers exceptional quality. Why spend $60 on subpar coffee like Vittoria Brazil Rex when you can get Merlo for just $55, delivered? When you think about it, you're already paying $44 for Vittoria at the supermarket. Merlo is, without a doubt, the best coffee out there. I wouldn’t consider buying Vittoria Brazil Rex even if they offered me money!
In my opinion, the most you should spend on Vittoria coffee is $20 per kilo. I recommend avoiding these brands altogether: Vittoria Brazil Rex, Lavazza, Toby's Estate, Aurora Coffee,...
Merlo at Fortitude Valley was the perfect spot to indulge my coffee passion. After wrapping up a meeting in Southport, I decided to stop by Market@Ferry Road to check out its sister location. I was amazed by the number of people waiting for takeaway orders, and even with two espresso machines going full blast, they struggled to keep up with the demand. I was fortunate enough to snag a small table and enjoyed a delightful treat—banana bread. To my surprise, the aroma and texture of the bread made it feel more like I was indulging in fresh bananas rather than just bread. It was a fantastic experience that perfectly complemented my favorite coffee. Thumbs up!
Buzz is a fantastic coffee roasting house located in the Ferry Road Markets complex. This place has a vibrant atmosphere, always bustling with people and energy. You can watch the roasting process happening right before your eyes, while a skilled team of baristas is busy crafting the next perfect cup of coffee. They offer a wide variety of beans for sale, in addition to delicious cups of coffee. It’s a lovely spot to enjoy your afternoon caffeine fix.
I am genuinely concerned about the service I received at Merlo Southport. I believe the staff member's name was Jess. She seemed to be under the influence and struggled to form coherent sentences. I had to repeat my order at least five times. Her demeanor was very aloof and unprofessional. After this experience, I would definitely not consider returning. The staff are a reflection of the business, and this level of service is completely unacceptable.
