While it might seem overwhelming to some, it's a vibe that many visitors appreciate, especially if they've experienced New York life firsthand. The restaurant isn't very large, but it offers enough seating to accommodate anyone looking for a brief escape from the outside or a cozy nook near the ovens and kitchen. I opted for a spot by the window because it was overcast, and the sky looked lovely.

I was genuinely impressed by the quality and service during a Saturday lunch visit for three at Chantilly Buon Appetito. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi, which was prepared to perfection. It was accompanied by a generous tossed salad featuring fantastic toppings like artichoke hearts, a whole green pepperoncini, red onion, carrots, cucumbers, feta cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and the best homemade balsamic vinaigrette I’ve ever tasted. I couldn’t resist taking home some of that incredible salad along with two delightful round rolls. I left feeling very satisfied and eagerly anticipate my next visit to Buon Appetito. Went there for dinner last week with my son and coworker. We ordered at the counter and they call the order to pickup and take back to your table when it is ready. It’s a seat yourself place with clean tables ready to dine at. When placing the order the guy was helpful suggesting and also kindly repeated the order to make sure the order was exactly what I was asking for. Great service! The food was delicious and we had to get a box to take the rest of the pizza home for lunch the next day. This place knows what extra cheese should be on a pizza. I will definitely order from here again when I’m in town. Parking: The restaurant is at a strip mall with plenty of parking around.
I placed an order at 3:30 with a designated pickup time of 3:50. When I arrived at 3:50, the cashier informed me that my order wasn’t ready. By 4:15, they put out three pizzas and asked if one of them was mine, but those were for other customers who had arrived after me. I then noticed my pizza boxes in the back with my name on them, sitting on top of the oven. They had been there the whole time, and neither of the two cashiers nor the two cooks had noticed! The communication was really lacking. The food is always excellent, but unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.

I'm very disappointed with the service I received. I arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes before closing, but they refused to serve me, even for takeout. I believe that if the owner had been there, this wouldn't have happened. The hours posted on the door clearly state that they close at 11 PM, and I arrived at 9:35 PM. This is unacceptable, and I feel compelled to share my experience because this is the second time this has happened to my family and me. It's unfortunate to see good businesses decline because the owner puts trust in the wrong people.
I have had their pizza about 5 times, always excellent, cust was crispy, pizza sauce had a lovely flavor. But this last one was unexceptional, the crust was like cardboard and had no flavor, the sauce was also lacking flavor, the cheese did not seem to be the high quality as before. I was also disappointed in the price of $3.00 for each topping! No way does a hand full of black olives cost $3.00. Need to get real on pricing.
Stopped here on the way home. We were across the street grocery shopping at the Asian market. I was IMPRESSED! I got the single serve pepperoni and sausage pizza. I told my husband the next time we make a trip to Chantilly we NEED to get a whole pizza to take home. This is the best pizza I’ve eaten in Virginia hands down! And I eat pizza once a week! Lol I wish they had a location here Haymarket.
Buon Appetito is the perfect name for this place. You definitely should go with a good appetite. It's the perfect pizza and you can buy a whole pie or simply pieces. There's adequate seating with either booths or chairs. There's dessert too by the slice. And you can either have bottled or fountain sodas.

For an occasional unhealthy food cravings, the food is generally good but be careful because sometimes they overcharge you as they did to me again today!
