Visited here for some dinner after work with a couple of colleagues on Thursday night. After work I am often starving and this was one of those days, so I needed some food pronto! I had heard good things about this restaurant from some friends so thought this was as good a time as any to try it out, especially due to it's close proximity to where our office is based Generally a fan of this cuisine, I have rarely been let down with restaurants of the sort and I am glad to say this record remains untarnished. Mediterranean cuisine is one of my favorites so I was more than happy to give Meshwi a try when a friend asked if I wanted to go for dinner last night. The restaurant is very cute, with brightly colored walls and pretty hanging lamps. As I wasn't very hungry, I decided to go with the lamb shish and spicy rice. The rice was definitely not spicy and a little dry, but other than that the lamb and pita bread were quite tasty. Tried a bite of the mediterranean chicken steak that my friend ordered and it was delicious. wished for a quick bite to eat and shisha last night after working with some friends. we were around the bethnal green area, so meshwi thought would be a good scream for this so the last time I visited, there was no shisha unfortunately available, although, if we asked, we were told differently. once again a similar thing happened during this visit. even if we specifically requested shisha on the phone when we arrived, they had no warning. fortunately, due to the nice service they were ready to set up the shisha for us, although they had only one taste. since I am not an expert, this is good for me, but I can see that the more experienced shisha aficionados may not be so happy...read more
I came here for dinner with a friend after work. We both enjoy good food, whatever the cuisine The restaurant was quite empty when we arrived but began to fill up as the evening progressed. The waiter was keen to take our order quite quickly he didn't ask about drinks first, which I found unconventional. Apart from that the service was satisfactory The interior was decorated well lots of effort had clearly been put in to the colour scheme and the authenticity of the place. we landed last week at meshwi and were looking for good Lebanese food. so far I had no good experience with this kitchen especially, but I was quite surprised with meshwi first thing first, the place is small, but it had a decent ambiente and brilliant service. we ordered a plate (cant remember the names,) but it had any kind of meat possible. we also ordered spicy potato and falafel package, which was literally crazy they also served us brot (naan along with a few dives as an appetizer, which were quite soft and thin in contrast to others that I tried they also have this amazing drink (not alcoholic,) that comes in different flavors, it was from libanon I think when you...read more
So I went and a friend to check this place yesterday, as we both had good reviews of it and of the pictures we had seen that eating looks great, so we thought why not give it a try meshwi is in bethnal green, not a long walk from the railway station and is very easy to reach! at the arrival the restaurant was right, but the place looked really nice, the restaurant has two floors, the lower seats larger number of guests, where than the main floor seats smaller groups of guests. when we arrived, there were no customers so that we were given our tables quickly, the personal did not seem so friendly and did not seem much about them eating on the menu or drinks that...read more
my first visit in a restaurant in bethnal green and I was pleasantly surprised. a large fan of Lebanese cuisine and often similar restaurants in bayswater. tasteful wraps (double meat for and ice frosted drinks are another note. but was not satisfied with the section and the shisha that lasted for more minutes to arrive. the personal was pleasant and attentive, which made a great difference! a small point, but it would be great if it also accepted amex.
Quite a trek to get to Meshwi, but it's worth it Played it safe and had the Lamb Shawarma, but what did it for me was the service at the restaurant! The staff was extremely polite attentive even though I was with a big group of demanding people on an excruciatingly hot day Was also surprised to see the large seating area downstairs, ideal for events and private functions as well Will definitely visit when in the area next.
Went down with a large group of friends. We booked downstairs and selected from the menu in advance. Heard a lot of mixed feedback on it but it was the first time is been, so when I saw the restaurant was empty I was sceptical. I needn't have been, food was great, presented well, waiters were very attentive. Nice decor, cheerful and cosy. All in all an enjoyable experience.
