we came here for lunch, the got two shifts, from 13:30 to 15:30 and 15;30 on. We took the second one and we until 15:50 we were not sat on the table. Service quite slow... try to avoid this shift. Speaking about the place itslef awesome, very nice like you can see in pics. As far as the food, I deem that they are so top doing cochinillo that the rest is so so. Very poor quality of pimientos rellenos , the ones you buy at supermarket pretty the same. However, cochinillo is excellent. If you come here do not try other food than salad, potatoes and cochinillo. Dessert was fun, we had suprise dessert and of course I wont tell you whats inside. Value for price quite expensive.
Very expensive. Some of the starters (not main dish) are not very good for the price you pay. We were not very hungry but wanted to eat something and take a rest there because it's a famous place. We only ate 3-4 dishes, we didn't want anymore. Because of that one of the waitress disrespected us, and when we had some spare food that we wanted to take away, because one of us wasn't feeling well and we didn't want to spoil food, the same waitress treated us with haughtiness and contempt. Honestly I feel bad giving this review, because the other waitress and service were good people and very nice with us, but that one spoiled our experience completely.
I came here with two of my friends after one of them was told this is a good place to eat. The overall atmosphere is quirky with photos on the walls and such, but it is ridiculously overpriced. On top of that, they got our order wrong and charged us for bread when they brought it to our table and nobody ordered it. The portions are not that big for how much you pay for, however, the mini show they put on before you get the pig was fun, the only reason why I put it as a two star instead of a one. Overall, avoid this place and go somewhere else. You'll be able to save at least 20 euro.
The food is decent and the location is amazing. You're right at the edge of the city, next to the aquaduct and can sit on the terrace next to it. People are extremely friendly and nice, but the food isn't amazing, I guess just the usual touristic place. I really do appreciate how friendly the peoe are though. The baby lamb tastes a lot like lamb, which you will have to like
they saw this place on TV and had to try out the tapas. this place is beautifully decorated and the owner welcomed us and the service was excellent. the restaurant is located directly in front of the Roman aqueduct and a simple walk from the plaza mayor. candido deserves his great call. the tradition of getting free tapas with their drinks is unbeatable. I love this place.
The atmosphere and the history of this place is amazing. Cándido Is the main star and you can 't leave this place without watching his show cutting the meat with a plate. However, food is overpriced, but you are mainly paying for the history and relevance of the restaurant. The Lechon is a must and the obvious choice at this place.
