I've been a regular at the Meson and it just keeps getting better and better. Product is fresh and the food is a sincere delight. Best Salmorejo I have ever tasted ..if you feel adventurous try the beetroot version they have it will rock your world ; they have a tuna tataki that melts in your mouth; Ox tail is nice and tender with an unbelievable thick rich sauce; fish balls with shrimp, cream sauce and chips ..yum!; the croquetas of cecina are absolutely sublime; and if you're lucky you get some unbelievable specials chickpeas with a very rare local mushroom called gurumelo was wow! Very good! We tried the nachos, the mousakka and the apple crumble. We have been to the Meson many times while holidaying in Mazagon. The menu is tapas based, but the servings are very generous and one can dine comfortably on 2 or 3 tapas, or maybe upping one of them to a half portion. Atmosphere is Bohemian and there is sometimes live music from a local folk group. Owners and there staff, mainly family, are friendly and the service is generally good, although at peak times you may end up with something you haven't ordered.
