My wife and I went to lunch at this restaurant with friend who lives in Oviedo and who had been to this restaurant several times in the past. She said we should try the cachopo. Cachopo is an Asturian dish that consists of two large pieces of fillets of beef. Inside this sandwich there is ham and cheese. We decided to order only one cachopo and when it came, it was huge and there were 6 servings, which we divided among ourselves. The price of the cachopo was only 18 euros! We also ordered drinks. We walked up through the maze that is Cudillero to the mirador and up the steep hill past the cemetery and saw a crowd gathered around and inside a small cafe/ bar. Decided to go in for a coffee. Noticed the tripadvisor 4.5 star rating on display and after checking discovered it was number 2 in Cudillero. Booked for that evening and shared a meat Cachopo which was absolutely fantastic. Needed to bring home a doggy bag , the portion was so huge. The arroz con leche delicious. Beautiful bread and house wine. Really pleasant waitresses. Thoroughly recommend.
De las mejores comidas de toda mi vida. Tomámos patatas 3 salsas . Paté de lubina . Cachopo de ternera a la plancha de cecina y queso cabra y de postre. Arroz con leche y sangría de sidra ..... IMPRESIONANTE TODO La atención muy buena . Muy amables y majos .y el ambiente pues de meson de toda la.vida. no muy amplio pero suficiente para estar agusto ...por esto y porque las sillas les hace falta un cojin para ser mas confortables no le.doy el 10 pero si un 9 biem merecido Volveremos sin duda alguna cuando andemos por la zona .
La gente habla de su cachopo de ternera que es a la plancha y de una calidad magnífica, pero tienen otras cosas muy ricas en su carta. Hacía mucho tiempo que no probaba unos chopitos a la plancha con tanto sabor y ternura, voy a volver para tomarlos de nuevo. También hemos probado la fabada (con la ración para 1 comen 2) y las croquetas de centollo que aunque pequeñas estaban deliciosas. Amables, bien de precio y la terraza la mejoraron (hacía tiempo que no venía) y está muy agradable. Pues éso: para repetir y repetir. Réservez une table maintenant
We came here with relatives and and friends to have a leisurely lunch. The gold was very good, chipirones, a salad of bacalao crudo was followed by a very nice cachopo and very good fish (San Martin) a la plancha together with gambones. Very good ingredients prepared in a simple but effective manner. The selection of wine is basic and could be improved though to add some higher quality bottles. Still a very credible option for lunch.
No es un sitio espectacular, pero comes bien y el trato es agradable. La terraza en las fotos parece que está pegada a una carretera pero apenas pasas coches. Importante, en el horario pone que por las tardes cierra (jueves) y a nosotros nos atendieron previa llamada para reservar. Los calamares no merecen la pena, en cambio el famoso cachopo si.
