This is a relatively new bar/restaurant which opened, I think, during the last year. It is family owned and run and is quite a lively place for locals and visitors alike. We visited first one morning just to have a coffee and tostada and check it out. There was a good variety of tapas on offer, and plenty of locals in eating it. While there. we booked for the next bi-weekly Saturday Flamenco show. Some friends had been previously and said they really enjoyed it. For the Flamenco, we were told to arrive at 8.00pm to eat and the Flamenco would start at 9.00pm. As it is a very small restaurant, we decided to turn up a bit early, just to make sure we had a table. This was unnecessary, as all the reserved tables were clearly labelled with the reservation name. And, of course, the show did not actually start until a lot later than 9.00pm! To eat we had a large salad between us, then huge portions of a meat paella, followed by home made desserts (the pan de calatrava was particularly good), two bottles of Rioja, water and coffees. The bill for 4 of us was 55€. For a meal and entertainment, we thought that pretty good value. The music was provided by 3 young musicians , one on guitar, one electric drums and the third the singer. They were excellent. There was a single lady dancer who put on an extremely high energy performance. The nice thing about this bar is that everybody, no matter what nationality, seems to be considered part of the extended family. So the whole thing is a bit like being at a family party, with people getting up to join the dancer, and including the odd dodgy relative! A good night out.

In my never ending search for genuine Spanish bars and food and not the bland Interpap that infests this town, I went here. They have a mobility ramp! Gold star from the outset. The place is clean and typically Spanish. They had the fruit machine on mute, which was another plus for me. The staff were lovely, welcoming and efficient. I had the menu, as usual, and it was very good, particularly the soup. the bread was great too, and I usually don't eat it. I was asked if I wanted salad, and wondered because it was not on the A board outside, if I was going to be charged extra, but no, a small tuna salad arrived and the price did not alter. The menu on the A board and relayed to you verbally is in Spanish, and why not? It is a Spanish eaterie in a Spanish town, in Spain, after all. One thing that confused me, was the one on the board and the spoken one did not match! I think they do specific menus on specific days, and the one on the A board had not been changed from the day before. Mere trifles, and amused me. The wine was lovely. Very often places fall down by serving skanky wine, but I could have drunk that all day! I had the house dessert, which was certainly different to anything I have come across before. It is Very nut based, so don't order if you have an allergy The coffee was very strong and kind of smoky for someone who rarely drinks it. Not a complaint, I suspect it was rather good, for those who like the stuff. All in all, a very pleasant, relaxing experience and all for 12 euros!

We went for the Juergas Flamencas on Saturday night, fortnightly at present. Reservation at 9 pm, eat in tranquility and then the flamenca. As previous review, everyone treated like family. Food good from a limited menu but that is good in my opinion (concentrate on a few things well). Music was fanastic and the dancing energetic from everyone I mean everyone joined in, half the loacl community. We rolled out at 1 am having had one of the best evenings for a long time. Fifteen euros a head including 4 bottles of wine and 2 of beer.

Had a ride down to Mazzaron from Los Alcazares looking for a traditional Spanish bar en route. Came across this little bar and gave it a try. Was made very welcome by the owners and locals. Food and drink very cheap. Great little find, call in and experience turning the clock back in time. Thanks for the warm welcome team!
