We shared the large no chicken nachos and chimichanga and it was very tasty. The nachos were huge and I've never had a chimichanga before and I loved it. Also got some garlic mayo which was proper tasty Went for a second time with a group of 11 vegans and the service was fab. Everyone enjoyed their food. Updated from previous review on 2023-04-29
There were plenty of options on the menu. My partner's meal, which was the vegetable option, was much better than mine. I opted for the plant-based chicken, but it was the kind with a crispy coating, which didn't really work well in a burrito, in my opinion. This is an update from my previous review from October 1, 2022.
Mexicali offers a diverse selection of vegan options, including a junk food menu, enchiladas, burritos, and fajitas with your choice of vegan "chicken," "beef," or mixed vegetables. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the mojitos were delicious!

The complete vegan menu is impressive, and both the decor and staff were outstanding. My partner ordered the veggie enchilada, while I chose the No Beef burrito. The food was decent, but there wasn't anything especially remarkable about it.

Large vegan menu means a lot of choice. I ended the choice of the great vegan nachos as the main. The food was amazing. Really decent amount of toppings on the nachos.
