We've always enjoyed dining at Mi Tierra, but for Thanksgiving this year, we decided to order nearly half the menu, and we couldn't be happier with our choice! First off, everything was meticulously packaged and placed in a box, even the soup. Normally, I wouldn’t mention packaging, but given how much takeout we’ve been ordering lately due to Covid, it really does make a significant difference in how the food tastes at home and how well it holds up during the car ride.

The pupusas and beans here are fantastic—truly excellent Salvadoran food. However, I have to say that since my last visit on June 17, I've been missing the old Mi Tierra. The food was just alright this time; the chicharrón lacked flavor. The guacamole was good, and I enjoyed the avocado hot sauce, but the house hot sauce was disappointing—it tasted like Tabasco to me. The pupusas were average, and I was disappointed to find they no longer serve beer and wine, which I believe is a significant drawback.
It's too bad Mi Tierra is so far up from the many restaurants on Moody Street because I'm sure a lot more people would eat there. It is Salvadoran home cooking at its best. The pupusas are great. I always get the Combo and it's delicious. My husband and all of the guests who we've taken there always order different things and have loved everything. The wine is great, too. 25 years in business...hope they do another 25!
Wow, I can't believe I had such a fantastic restaurant so close to home! This was undoubtedly the best meal I've had all year. The flavors were incredible, and the portions were more than generous. Everything was perfectly seasoned, and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were friendly, and the take-out process was effortless. I'll definitely be coming back with friends!

The description perfectly captures the essence of simple Guatemalan and Latin American cuisine, all of which is incredibly fresh and surprisingly affordable. The house hot sauce is delicious. I highly recommend giving it a try!
Asked my server what he recommended I order based on my interests, and he very kindly and thoroughly walked me through some great options. The one I chose was delicious. Great service, great Guatemalan food. Will return!
I ordered the combination plate, which included pupusas, beans, rice, and fried plantains, and it was fresh and delicious.
