Mi Viejo Latin Cafe And Catering

Never been to Apollo Beach before coming for two weeks to attend a family wedding in the area, we had to figure out where to eat. We come from North Jersey where some of the very best Cuban Restaurants are located, in such Hudson County Towns such as Union City, West New York as well as other North Jersey Towns.Our own research as well as recommendations brought us to the door of Mi Viejo Latin Cafe at 6002 N Highway 41, in Apollo Beach. This was our stop for dinner tonight. It was good. I wouldn't call it very good or great but it was good. Cuban It was enjoyable. I found it to be more like a sandwich from a deli shop than a Cuban. I would think it would have came from like a Jersey Mike's. With that being said it was fresh and flavorful. I would eat it again. Ham Cheese My wife said it was okay. It wasn't pressed long enough so she really didn't get the full effect of what she was hoping for. I don't think she would get it again. Fries Super Bland. They had no seasoning nor basic salt. We stopped in for lunch with a different flavor. We were treated to a very tasty, cafeteria style meal. We ordered a qrande combo, a small Cuban sandwich, a Modelo beer, and a large Cafe con Leche. A small flan was had for dessert. Everything was excellent. Lots of tasty food can be had for a very reasonable price.Food: 5/5

When I tell you this food is good, believe me! I had ropa vieja, roasted chicken, yellow rice and black beans. Everything was so flavorful so delicious so fresh. I loved it so much, had my party catered and Mi Viejo made birthday so special with a delicious meal to remember. The empanadas were perfect too!Food: 5/5 Réservez une table maintenant

I came here for my first time. Ordered Rice,beans, and chicharrón and a Soda. $16.70 was my Total. Feel it's a little pricey. I was really turned off by the Rusty salt shakers. Please replace them for new ones. It's a bad look for the restaurants hygieneFood: 3/5

Fresh authentic and seasoned food. The ladies are very helpful and pleasant. Yuca is my favorite, their yuca was very tasteful. The stew chicken was delicious. My daughters and I really enjoyed our visit. Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos. ?

The food is fantastic! I dine here at least once a week, and it’s consistently excellent! The portions are generous, and the prices are good—plus, it’s incredibly delicious! My favorite dish is the roast pork! Food rating: 5/5.
