Words cannot express what an amazing experience my husband and I had dining at Michael's On East. We came for the first time to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. We had such a spectacular experience that we will be coming back and bringing family/friends. Our waiter, Nick, made our dinner celebration a perfect night with his attentiveness, helpful entrée suggestions, and friendly demeanor. He made sure our night was special by inquiring with the chef to make our surf turf dream (porterhouse for 2 plus Chilean sea bass) come true. Yes, it was mouthwatering and every bite was delicious! Haven't been here for years. In the early 1990s and into the 2000s it was one of the best restaurants in Sarasota. It has deteriorated in the few decades past and the competition has been healthy. Food is okay but not great by a long shot. Waiter was good but too slow in getting back to the table and stretched it into a 2 hour ordeal. Atmosphere is okay but outdated. All and all, a lot of other places in Sarasota to frequent.
We really enjoyed having moose wait on us again. Everything was awesome. My husband had the bouillabaisse and I had the safer Sarasota special of chicken schnitzel. Everything was five star in our opinion except I felt that $21 for a grapefruit martini was a bit much. I'll just be sure and order something different next time. We do enjoy Michael's and will return certainly. 
We loved everything about our evening. We always enjoy the live music and we loved the room we were in up a couple of stairs in a semi circular room. The food was outstanding the best swordfish we'd ever tasted and the Chilean Sea Bass was excellent too. Michael's on East is a gem and one of the best restaurants in Sarasota. Currently, Savor Sarasota offers great value for fixed price three course meals with interesting selection of choices. The wine list is extensive and offers great options at fair prices. On Thursday evening, there is half price on wine which is a great savings.
Fabulous food and our waiter Eddie was knowledgeable and friendly and attentive. Both the owner, Michael, and the manager came over to say hello and make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Highly recommended for all the reasons we go out for a wonderful dinner, including the wonderful piano playing. We'll definitely be back.
Savor Sarasota menu is a great value. Appetizers and dessert were excellent. Mains were good but not outstanding. Both the fish and the pork would have benefited from more sauce and the fish from a more flavorful one. Portions were more than adequate. I will be back many times.
Michael's as always never disappoints. Tried the Savor Sarasota menu and the food was spot on. Great service by Kelly made the experience even better. Michael's is in rarefied air as a true gourmet restaurant in Sarasota. It is a must go to. Réservez une table maintenant
