We had a wonderful dinner at Michaels. The waitstaff was very attentive. I enjoyed the lasagna, my wife had the eggplant parmesan, and my son had the carbonara; all dishes were delicious. The prices were quite reasonable, especially for Old Town Alexandria. The restaurant has a cozy and intimate atmosphere, which made it quieter than larger venues we've visited. We also enjoyed a nice Italian red wine, which was fairly priced compared to other restaurants these days. We all appreciated the decor. However, please note that there are only two outdoor tables, so if dining outside is a priority for you, this may not be the best option.
I post reviews when absolutely necessary. It was my family?s first time here, and unfortunately, we are very dissatisfied. My oldest requested lasagna for dinner, so we decided to do takeout. We came home to a COLD $24 lasagna. I called the restaurant to give them a chance to make it right. Sadly, we will NOT be returning to Michael?s Little Italy. You might go home with cold food, and the thought of checking to make sure seems unsanitary.
The drinks and service were excellent, but I wouldn't return because the food quality was disappointing. There are plenty of better Italian options in Old Town. They seemed to be promoting their "specials," which were just items from their regular menu. I ordered the seafood linguine, and unfortunately, the lobster, shrimp, and clams tasted old and dry. My husband even remarked that my dish smelled like feet, and he wasn’t wrong.
As you walk into the door of Michael's Little Italy, you are properly greeted by Michael: the most patient, considerate and informative waiter I have ever met. The restaurant is filled with many photographs, string lights, a lovely fire place and an amazing retro Jukebox! Not only was the ambiance enjoyable, the food was absolutely delicious. As a first timer trying Michael's Little Italy, I will definitely be returning.

Great cozy atmosphere and the best NY-style pizza I've had in a long time. Also loved the Lobster Ravioli, which just melts in your mouth. Great service and a really cool retro lounge upstairs to hang out in after dinner for some dessert cocktails. ????????
Our last night in town was curated by the awesome folks at Michael's Little Italy. Frutti di mare, Veal Saltimbocca, and Gnocchi Marinara... All the desserts with an excellent port, and to top it all off, a perfect Avaition
We really enjoy this place. It has an upscale relaxing ambiance and the wait staff is great. The menu is small but everything we have tried is outstanding. Best eggplant parmesan I have ever had.
My wonderful son took me here for lunch on Mother's Day. Mike's Little Italy has a super charming atmosphere, excellent service, and the food was delicious! I highly recommend it!
