Wow! Stopped by on last night in Augsburg and what a wonderful experience! The antipasto plate for us 3 was just delicious and it prepared us for the main pasta dish which was outstanding. The vegetables, scampi, fish, and greens int the salad along with...some green cantaloupe were very tasty; the pasta combination on the main plate was made up of penne with beef tips that were done just perfect in a red sauce, along with ravioli stuffed with spinach, and a long pasta dish with mushrooms that were just great. We went to this restaurant due to the high rankings on Trip Advisor but were extremely disappointed. The mixed starter we ordered was mundane at best, with the seafood portions bland and the mozzarella cheese tasting cheap/synthetic. The fish (the day 's special we consumed for...the main course was somewhat decent, but considering the exorbitant price we paid it was well below par. Would recommend avoiding this restaurant, especially since there are several quality Italian restaurants in Augsburg on offer.
what should I say francesco (the restaurant owner) has cheered us up for 3 evenings with extraordinary straightening. great courtesy, even the first night arrived late, he did not hesitate to look for us a table. exquisite dishes (try the tagliatelle with filet, truffle and mushrooms on parmesan bed); they can't find it on the menu, but ask for it, it's really worth it. a healthy piece of italia in the country of Germany, which makes us all venerable. to soon and cordial gratitude again.
we were in the evening in the michelangelo and well, our appetizer for two was mediocre, not further worth talking. from which region the house wine originates, the waiter himself had to read on the label!The overall operation was rather lustless; the piccata a la milanese was only lukewarm and there was nothing sweet for the espresso.Everything in all: disappoint!

we have been going to the michelangelo for years and have never been disappointed. the menu is varied, also seasonal partly changing, and the dishes are always excellent and super-lecker. the service is perfect, both by the chef francesco with its special charm and by its two services, nina and georgi. we always like to come and can only recommend this locally.
this restaurant is a jewel in augsburg, forget about the high-natured, prestige italian in the inner city. my family has come here for decades and has never been disappointed. eating is fantastic and francesco always gives super tasty recommendations as we could feel on the day.
as always in larger cities, there are the right secret tips in some inconspicuous parts of town. although no secret tip......the michelangelo in oberhausen for us for decades the best Italian restaurant in Augsburg! I can only guess. try!
Very disappointing experience, poor and slow service, a very arrogant owner with no manners. Totally overrated, not sure how they obtain such good reviews

The owners are perfect! The pizza is so delicious, pastas are great. If you like Italian food, it is highly recommended.
