I stopped here with my mom and nice as a throwback for my mother who ate here in her highschool days. We are originally from Chicago but now love in NWI so it is a bit of a trip to come out here. And it was worth it. The hotdogs are great and the Italian beefs are literally almost as good as portillos. The cheese sauce had flavor. And the staff was nice. I originally got their 2 hotdog special, but after trying a bite of my mom's roast beef, I asked for one to go. When I explained to the lady how I was going back to Indiana asked her if she can package it seperately she went above and beyond. I was able to eat it later that night and it was just as good as when I tried my mother's sandwich....
Today was my first visit to Mickey’s, and I must say, it left a lasting impression on me. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by an incredible aroma of delicious food. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they prepare the meals right in front of you, ensuring everything is cooked just the way they intend. I ordered a chili dog, and it exceeded my expectations. For around $6, I enjoyed a chili dog, fries, and a soda. The meal was absolutely delicious, and to top it off, the person at the reception gave us complimentary ice treats. I'm not sure if this is a regular occurrence, but I can confidently say that no other place compares to Mickey’s.
We don't visit as often as we should since there are closer options, but when cravings hit, this place delivers a great meal for the whole family without breaking the bank. The establishment is clean, friendly, and efficient, with outdoor tables for enjoying the nice weather. My only suggestion would be to bring back the ice cream machine!
Saw a lot of negative reviews. The times I was there, hot dogs seemed pretty good to me. Only complaint is the look you get when you ask for ketchup. everyone knows it's for the fries. Only a barbarian puts it on a hot dog.Disappointed website says close 10PM, actual is 8:30 PM. 6/28/22

eating is good, service is always less than acceptable. the owner simply doesn't look like a person he never smiles, and all the young people he employs have no manage of what I hear, I hope the children read these know that they are easily interchangeable when they act up there.
I've been eating here since I was a kid. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and the family that runs the place are always so friendly and welcoming (and the owner/manager guy is pretty hot lol). Best thing is that they are easy on the wallet. Love this place.
the eating was good inexpensive and not to mention delicious! and although I got in with a chicago white sox jersey, we were treated very well! they love the part where they get a mini ice cream membrane when they eat ready. in any case over again.
The Chicago dogs here are decent and affordable. They tend to be a bit greasy on the inside, but the quality is evident as they are prepared right in front of you. The service is always quick as well.
